First seeds of the year started!

Posted by Teresa Noelle Roberts

No writing today, but it’s been productive in a domestic way.

I’ve started my first seeds: early tomatoes, lettuce, assorted Asian greens, celery and basil, plus peas for pea shoots.

Made soup and stock.

Cooked a kick-ass dinner, if I do say so myself: roast chicken with garlic; stuffing from a mixture of homemade whole wheat bread and locally made sourdough, moistened with homemade chicken stock; and roasted root vegetables. There was supposed to be apple crisp for dessert, but we were too full to eat it.

Got laundry done.

Paid bills–and there’s still money in my checking account!

I even managed to sleep in, laze around in our big cozy bed with my handsome husband and two purring cats. Better yet, our late-to-rise start to the morning also involved some of the sort of activity that features as a major part of my fiction–and no, I don’t mean magical battles. 😉

Life is good.

I wish I’d gotten in some writing too, but I can’t regret this day.

No, I'm not magically able to make my seeds grow this much in a few hours. This picture is from last year.
